Three things you need to know before booking your maternity shoot

Maternity Photo Shoot FAQs

Are you an expectant mother who is thinking about documenting your pregnancy journey of your life? Do you have questions about the best time for your maternity photoshoot? Are you wondering about how to go about finding a photographer?

Here are 3 common and frequently asked questions about maternity photoshoot.

Maternity Shoot FAQ Number one: When should you take your photos?

The best time for your maternity shoot depends on you!

There’s no perfect time that fits all, each baby grows differently and your body changes at different rate than others mama.

Usually it’s recommended to schedule your maternity photoshoot with your Alabama photographer between 30 and 35 weeks. That’s because at that time your bump looks big and beautiful for pregnancy pictures and you’re still feeling good enough to be able to enjoy your maternity session.

Maternity Shoot FAQ Number Two:What should you wear for you Maternity photoshoot?

The answer is whatever makes you comfortable!! I know you probably expected a different answer but there’s no perfect answer to this. You could be very comfy and casual or you could step your game up and wear something fancy. It depends on how you’re feeling and what’s your vision for your maternity photoshoot.

Maternity Shoot FAQ Number Three: Should you include your partner and other kids to your photoshoot?

Here are my thoughts on if you should include your partner and other kids for your maternity photoshoot.

I believe your whole family are part of your motherhood journey and should participate and get documented in this chapter of life with you.

But, there are exceptions! If you feel out of sorts adjusting to your needs body as you’re building a whole human being, and feel like you need empowerment and encouragement to go through this transformation. I highly recommend celebrating your body through an individual maternity shoot to highlight your beauty and confidence.
